Salil is a Green Mountain founder and Interim CEO. Constantly exploring opportunities for sustainable growth Salil is helming the company’s expansion into processed products. He takes a “hands-on” approach to the business from cultivation to sales and drives a teamwork culture towards reaching and exceeding goals.
Salil has more than 20 years of experience providing finance and administrative services to Canadian and US privately held and publicly traded and reporting companies with international subsidiaries. Salil previously served as the Chief Financial Officer, Principal Accounting Officer and Secretary of Pan American Goldfields Ltd (formerly Mexoro Minerals Ltd.) He was Controller and General Manager of Aquilini Investment Group, business controller for Heli-One, a subsidiary of CHC Helicopter Corporation.
As the longest serving President of the Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF), David has advanced the cause of the Métis Nation at the provincial and national levels while working to improve opportunities for all Manitobans.
Under his leadership, the MMF has experienced tremendous growth in self-government capacity, direct-services for the Manitoba Metis Community, and increased the annual program and operation budgets of the MMF from approximately $190,000 annually in 1997 to over $80 million present-day. He has developed Metis Human Resource Capacity from 3 staff in 1997 to well over 750 staff today.
In 2011 he established the Metis Economic Development Organization (MEDO), the MMF’s economic development arm, also known as the MMF’s Crown Corporation. Under his leadership, the MMF negotiated with the Manitoba Government to create the first ever Manitoba Metis Policy. President Chartrand has also furthered healthcare opportunities for the Metis Nation of Manitoba through the first ever Metis owned and operated Pharmacy, “MEDOCare”, including an MMF Eyeglass Program and MMF Prescription Drug Program, and he established the first-ever Metis specific post-secondary University Scholarship and Bursary Endowment Fund in 1999, which is now worth approximately $24 million with established partnerships with five universities in the province. The MMF continues to invest $1 million annually to the Endowment Fund.
David is a recipient of the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers (2018); The Order of Manitoba (2013); The Order of the Metis Nation (2013); an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Winnipeg (2012); The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal (2012); and The Manitoba Order of the Sash (2004).
In her Investor Relations role with Green Mountain, Michèle develops relationships with investors and stakeholders, communicating the Company’s strategy, business activities, financial performance, and operating model.
Michèle’s previous position as an Investor Relations Officer in the mining industry, and her decade of experience as a successful entrepreneur, have provided her with the organizational and communication skills necessary to form a solid rapport with Green Mountain’s stakeholders. Michèle is personable and approachable, and greatly enjoys this aspect of her role; communicating the Company’s plans for creating long-term shareholder value.
Beyond direct investor relationships, Michèle has been involved in building the Company’s approach to investor relations from the ground up.
Michael is spearheading the development of Green Mountain's business model and presence in Europe; promoting strategic alliances and exploring opportunities for expansion. Michael has extensive experience as a broker (co-founder of yacht brokerage house Entropia in Monaco) and 20+ years’ experience as a commercial lawyer (LLB - College of Law, London) working for Freshfields and Constant & Constant in the UK, Spain and Greece. Michael is multi-lingual (with a BA Modern Languages - University of Bristol, UK).
Richard is a semi-retired businessman and an investor in Green Mountain through his company Winmark Capital Inc. Richard is the former founder and President of Merit Kitchens Ltd (1970 to 1990). Today, Merit cabinetry can be found in homes throughout Canada, the United States and parts of Asia. In 2010 Richard established Bodega North Woodworks, a boutique outdoor furniture manufacturer on Gagliano island. He is also involved in real estate development in British Columbia. Richard brings a great wealth of knowhow and experience to the Green Mountain team.
Dr. Jagjeet Singh Gill has more than 10 years of experience in Plant Sciences and Plant Research.He completed his Graduate Program and Master's degree in Plant Sciences from Khalsa College Amritsar and Punjab Agricultural University respectively. He was awarded his doctorate degree in Plant Sciences from North East Frontier Technical University. He also achieved HACCP certification from North Carolina State University as well as certification in horticulture (specifically "Cannabis Production, Regulations and Quality Assurance") from the University of Guelph. In his scientific capacity, Dr. Singh has also worked as an Assistant Professor, Coordinator and Head of Institution in several esteemed Universities and Colleges in India. He was awarded honours and received the "Associate Scientist Award" in 2016, "Award of Excellence" in Extension Services in 2018 and "The Young Scientist Award" in 2019 and 2023. Dr. Singh has written more than 35 research papers and is extensively published. He is highly experienced in the Canadian cannabis market and at Green Mountain he serves as both Head of Security & Operations as well as Quality Assurance Manager.
Dr. Mohyuddin Mirza, is a member of the Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame (2014) and has been described as an educator, an excellent teacher, facilitator and “passionate about plants”. He is a researcher and recipient of several awards recognizing his contributions to the greenhouse industry in Alberta. A graduate from the University of Alberta and with over 40 years of experience with greenhouse crop production, he brings a huge wealth of experience with cannabis production and processing to the Green Mountain production facility and team. He has published extensively on cannabis in national magazine “Grow Opportunity” and has also been invited as a panel judge selecting top cannabis growers.
Vikrant holds a master’s degree in agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University and a postgraduate diploma in agriculture from MANAGE, Hyderabad. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the field, Vikrant brings a valuable blend of project management skills and agricultural knowledge to the role. He began his career in India where he was promoted to the position of Deputy Project Director in the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Vikrant has a track record of scholarly contributions with over 50 publications to his name. He has also shared his expertise through workshops, seminars, and conferences and has participated in or chaired more than 40 events focused on a range of agricultural issues.
Vikrant thrives on exploring innovative solutions to complex challenges and contributing to improved societal welfare through plant science. His current emphasis is on greenhouse-grown cannabis cultivation destined for the health industry. Vikrant’s passion for agriculture and greenhouse farming serves as the driving force behind his mission to ensure quality cannabis production at Green Mountain.
